"AM" stands for Ave Maria in praise of our Blessed Virgin Mary because Assumpta School is under the patronage of Mary in the mystery of her Assumption. It also stands for Arthur Melanson who is the founder of the Filles de Maria de'l Assumption congregation who owns the school.
  
                  The blue color signifies the Marian Spirit of an Assmptionist. It also projects the dignity of a knowledgeable  and well- integrated learner who has faith in God.
   
                     The three stars signify Mary, the Star of the Sea, the guide in our life's journey.
